Can you guys believe 2018 is almost coming to an end? I always love days leading up to New Year’s Eve because I don’t do anything work-related. After a year of working so hard, all there’s left to do is to lay down and do nothing. It’s the best feeling ever. I also take this opportunity to spend time with my loved ones. Hanging out with my cousins, parents, siblings and playing with my nephews and nieces (who are all growing up so fast). However, after a few days of doing completely nothing, it starts to feel weird. I’m so used to creating content almost every single day–it has become a huge part of my life. Today I opened my laptop and started writing this blog post.
Today we are back with another Manila style guide. I started this series on the blog early this year when I started documenting my looks whenever I spend a whole week in Manila. On Instagram, I have better engagement when I share my looks in Manila, more than my looks or OOTDs taken outside of the country. I guess because it’s more relatable and wearable? Now before I cringe and laugh at myself for realising that I wore too much track pants this 2018, let me share with you these seven (7) outfits you can wear for a week in Manila. Enjoy.

It’s time to start the week with a bang. Mondays are usually the most crazy because this is the day I meet with clients and run errands. After replying to emails and coordinating with different brands and companies the previous week, this is usually the day I meet with them. With that, a simple shirt like this can do but don’t forget to dress it up with a pair of trousers. I wasn’t too sure with brown and grey together but I’m quite happy with how it turned out. I wish I wore leather shoes with foot socks but this white socks + sneakers combo doesn’t look too bad, does it?

Tuesdays are also packed with meetings, shoots and errands so I usually stick to monochromatic pieces whenever I don’t have the time to style my outfit. With that, I usually go for a navy blue top and bottoms. I particularly love this navy blue short-sleeved button down because of the white outlines (am I describing it right? lol)–it definitely gives a nice touch to the look. As I always say, it’s all in the little details. P.S. I don’t think I can go on a week without wearing these shoes.

This day was dedicated to the gym, dentist, cafe to catch up with work and a party with my friends at night. Nothing too fancy so I opted for this look. I love a good shirt and track pants combo, they’re so comfy and I hope it never goes out of style. Haha!

Thursday was a pretty slow day. On slow days like this one, that’s when I get most creative with my outfit. Probably because I’m not rushing to a meeting or an event. On days like those I make sure to prepare extra early so that I wouldn’t risk getting stuck in traffic. Anyway, when I’m feeling experimental, chances are, they don’t always go as planned. I ended up looking like a plumber/zoo keeper/soldier. Haha! It goes to show that I don’t have my a-game all the time. What do you guys think?

It’s Friday! Last working day for the week so it usually gets crazy in the morning up until late afternoon. Trying to finish deadlines, meet clients and attend events. Now that’s over with, it’s time to celebrate. I go out with my friends at least twice a week. It’s just nice to cool down and not talk about anything work-related after a week of being on the daily grind. This was also the day I got roasted a lot by my friends for wearing this necklace for our night out. Haha! I’m not fond of necklaces especially in the city that’s why they kept teasing me about this! What do you guys think?

It’s the weekend! Sometimes it’s so easy to wear an all-black outfit or all-navy blue. There are also days when I don’t wanna wear dark colors and just stick to light-colored tones. Although I am not the most comfortable because I know light-coloured clothes tend to make me look darker than I already am (lol), I just learn to embrace it and wear whatever the heck I want. There was event a time (maybe 7-8 years ago) when you would never see me wearing shorts in public. Somehow I just got over it and I wear em all the time now.

Ahhh, Sunday. Time to give thanks and recharge before we conquer another week. Nothing beats a simple and comfortable printed button down and a pair of jeans. I just realized that I have a ton of printed polos in my wardrobe. They look great at the beach but they also look decent when you wear it in the city. I love it because you don’t have to exert as much effort in terms of the styling because the polo is printed already. I just workout my arms and chest a lot so it’ll fill the clothes nicely. Haha! Have an awesome week ahead!
