Ever since the emergence of media streaming and video-on-demand services, it has been the norm to binge-watch TV series, meaning you watch multiple episodes at a time and finish the entire season way faster than you probably should. I should know, I’ve been on this phase for quite a long time—and I’m sure you have a handful of TV series you’re currently addicted to or itching to watch too!

There were days when I would cancel all my plans for the entire day just so I can watch my favorite tv series. I would wake up around 12 noon, have “breakfast,” then start binge-watching my favorite TV series. I would grab my favorite snacks,

bring a jug of water, turn on the aircon, lay down in bed and finish an entire season of my favorite TV series in one day. The first time I did this was when I binge-watched “The Walking Dead” and I vividly remembered how heavy I felt after watching it. Haha! Anyway, now that I am older and more mature (I’d like to think so), I have a few tips and tricks to make your next binge-watching experience as enjoyable and as efficient as possible. Because come on, we want to catch up on all these amazing TV series that are coming out, but we also need to go on that everyday grind and earn (ugh I hate adulting). Which reminds me, why are there only 24 hours in a day? Moving on, here are 3 easy ways to binge-watch like a pro. You’re welcome.

First things first, pick a show to binge-watch. There’s a ton of tv series out there, all you need to do is pick the right one (okay maybe three). Watch trailers, read reviews and ask your friends if that particular show is worth-watching. You don’t want to devote too much time and effort on something that will disappoint you in the end (#hugot). In this generation, time is more valuable than money! Am I right or am I right?

This is it. You finally selected a show that you will religiously watch and risk your career to. Just kidding. The next thing you want to do is to create a “binge-watching” schedule and work it around your “real” schedule. I love fixing my schedule before the week starts. I usually sit down at a coffee shop and plan my schedule for the week. Now that you’re willing to invest your time in that particular show, it’s now part of your schedule. Prioritize your errands, meetings, etc and then squeeze in your binge-watching session/s on your free time.

Just because you’re binge-watching a show, doesn’t mean you can’t do other things while watching. As millennials, I’d like to think that we have mastered the art of multitasking. I happen to love catching up on my favorite tv series while I’m running on the treadmill (watch at your own risk), waiting for a client, cleaning my room—even writing a blog post (don’t forget to proof-read after watching). It’s all about time management!
