PALM PRINTS FOR SUMMER? GROUNDBREAKING!

Location: La Union, Philippines

Outfit: Palm Print Button Down (Topman) | Tailored Shorts (Straightforward) | Weekender Bag (Straightforward) | Hexagon Flat Lenses (Ray-Ban: Available at Eye Society) | Sandals (Call it Spring)

Palm prints for summer seems to be equivalent to the famous line “Florals for spring? Groundbreaking” by Miranda Priestly. Yes, palm prints for summer can be a little predictable but hey, it’s that one time of the year you get to go crazy and wear these kind of prints, right? Here’s the thing—palms don’t scream summer, they breathe it. So I think it is only fitting to wear this print on the hottest season of the year.

Since I didn’t go to “LaBoracay” this year (and I’m glad I didn’t), I went on a quick trip to La Union for a little vacay.

I haven’t been to La Union for almost 8 years and I feel like so much has changed. It has one strip full of hostels, artsy cafés—all filled with tourists! I’ll try to do a separate blog post on that one. We stayed at this beautiful Greek-inspired resort which was the perfect backdrop for my blue and white outfit! I went for a navy blue short-sleeved button down which is the perfect shade of blue for me as it works well with my skin color and it mutes down the print. It also worked wonderfully well with this light grey to almost cream-colored shorts. Wore my favorite pair of sandals and used my cream-colored weekender bag. Not pictured: a glass of mojito.
