MORNINGS IN NYC

Location: NEW YORK

One belongs to New York instantly, one belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years. Tom Wolfe couldn’t have said it better. I was 8,000 miles away from home yet I was completely at home. Probably because of the grid system (a type of city plan in which streets run at right angles to each other, forming a grid) which makes the city easy to navigate, may it be the friendly and helpful New Yorkers (well, at least from my experience), or the fact that there isn’t any language barrier–or maybe I may have watched too many movies that were shot in the city. Nevertheless, New York really had a huge impact on me and it did change my perspective in life. NYC is really unlike any other city in the world.
