Visiting Central Park was one of the highlights of my recent trip to New York City. If you can’t stand the towering buildings and huge electronic billboards in the overly crowded Times Square, Central Park would be the perfect choice. It’s a great escape from the hustle of the fast-paced New York life. After my meetings in Midtown Manhattan, I headed up to Upper East Side to take a walk at one of most popular parks in the world.
It was like a dream to walk through Central Park. Everyone has seen photos of the park or has seen it in movies, so it felt like I was in one while strolling around. Haha! Central Park has so much to offer. I think I spent 4 hours in the park! It’s a great place to put a blanket out and just read a book, or maybe go for a run, take a carriage ride, bump into squirrels running around, catch street performers, visit the strawberry fields (John Lennon tribute), the carousel, Bethesda fountain, Balto, Belvedere Castle, the meadows, etc. The park is huge! You’ll never run out of things to do.
