48 HOURS IN HONG KONG WITH CALVIN KLEIN

Location: HONG KONG

Calvin Klein Jeans hosted a music event in Hong Kong featuring a line-up of performances by global superstar Justin Bieber. Held at the repurposed industrial cargo hall inside the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, overlooking the beautiful Victoria Harbor and a panoramic view of the Hong Kong skyline. The party was all sorts of cool. They flew in over 150 press, media partners, influencers and bloggers from the US, Brazil, Europe, Australia, Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and The Philippines. It was truly an honor to be invited to this event and to be the only blogger chosen from my country (along with Ingrid of The Bag Hag).

The Calvin Klein Jeans brand has a long-standing connection to music and has hosted music events in other cities around the world including Sao Paulo, Beijing, London, Berlin, Paris and Mexico, among others, but this event marked the first time the brand has held a music event of this scale in Hong Kong. Calvin Klein has previously hosted musical acts such as Pharrell Williams, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding, Jessie Ware, Iggy Azalea, Far East Movement, The Drums, HAIM, among others.

2

8:40 am – On my way to HK and I’m already being spoiled by Calvin Klein! Here was my yummy breakfast during the flight.

3

10:30 am – Got picked up at the airport by this oooohhhh so fancy limo.

6

10:55 am – Hello, Hong Kong! Can’t help but admire the beautiful buildings here.

4

11:10 am – Checked-in at the beautiful Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Central Hong Kong. The same hotel where Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner plus all the bloggers/influencers were staying. Let the stalking begin…

5

Calvin Klein sure knows how to spoil their guests!

7

Got my invite for the Calvin Klein Live party! Woot!

8

11:50 am – I met up with the Calvin Klein team to do fittings for tonight’s event. They based the styling on the runway looks from the CK S/S 2015 collection. I was so happy they picked a look that was well-suited with my personal style.

9

12:25 noon – After fittings, I headed out Mandarin Oriental for some delicious xiao long boa at Michelin-starred restaurant, Crystal Jade. It was amazing.

10

1:30 pm – Did a bit of walking around Central HK. Decked out in Calvin Klein, of course. *wink wink*

12

1:40 pm – Checked out the cool Apple store in IFC!

11

2:05 pm – Went back to my hotel room and my altered clothes from Calvin Klein came in early–which means I can shoot them for the blog! I don’t shoot after 5pm because the photos get all grainy and stuff. #BloggerProblems

13

3:30 pm – Wearing a Calvin Klein dark denim jacket, a CK printed button down, a CK belt and a pair of CK dark denim. You can see detailed shots of the outfit here.

14

7:20 pm – Took a nap then headed out for dinner! I was craving for some good ol’ peking duck so I researched on the best restaurants in Central and Maxim’s Palace came up! Thankfully it was just across my hotel! Woot!

40

8:15 pm – Rushing back to the hotel to make it to my 8:30 pm call time!

16

9:05 pm – We took a 40-minute bus ride to The Kai Tak cruise terminal. This place used to be an airport so imagined how cool it was partying inside an eerie, cargo terminal!

19

Overlooking the beautiful Hong Kong skyline.

20

The event was filled with Justin Bieber’s photos showcasing his Calvin Klein underwear.

22

One of the highlights of my night was seeing Kendall *freaking* Jenner. Beautiful might be an understatement. Needless to say I was having a hard time keeping my cool. Haha!

18

Wine party!

21

10:20 pm – Korean popstar Jay Park opened the show for Calvin Klein Live. He really pumped up the crowd–and he speaks English really well lol.

17

Wearing head-to-toe Calvin Klein.

24

11:10 pm – Justin Bieber in the house!

50

Bieber serenaded the crowd with acoustic versions of his songs such as “As Long As You Love Me” and “Hold Tight” –my favorite!

52

Bieber’s pants ripped onstage so he had to stop and change backstage lol

51

The Biebs showing off his goods in his Calvins.

49

His last song was “Where Are Ü Now”– love this song!!!

23

12:30 am – Cheers Calvin Klein for an awesome party! Goodnight, Hong Kong!

25

FRIDAY | 11 am – Waking up in #MyCalvins. I overslept and missed the buffet breakfast–I blame Mandarin Oriental’s super comfy bed!

26

11:30 am – Amazing (and very heavy) breakfast at The Mandarin Oriental. So good.

29

12:30 noon – After checking out of The Mandarin Oriental. I went to Lan Kwai Fung and SoHo for a day of food tripping and shopping! I chose the last flight out so I can do a little bit of exploring in Hong Kong.

28

Here’s a busy-looking outfit for such a busy city as Hong Kong. You can see the full outfit on my blog’s style section!

27

1:30 pm – Met up with my buddies Richard and Cheska for a day of exploring!

34

1:50 pm – First on our agenda was to visit The Victoria Peak!

33

The best mode of transportation to get to The Peak is by riding a tram. You get a beautiful view of Central HK and a little bit of Kowloon.

32

Made it to The Victoria Peak! I must say it’s more fun if you go around December/January–when it’s all cold and foggy! When we went, it was scorching hot!

44

We took a ferry ride from Central to Kowloon!

46

I am feeling ittttt

45

Check out that view!

31

Hello from Kowloon! Richard was born in Hong Kong and have lived here for 17 years before he moved to The Philippines while Cheska is on her 6-month internship at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel (studying at Enderun).

43

Took a quick stop at this spot to take outfit photos! You can see the post by clicking the style tab above!

42

Ice cream break!

35

Making the most of my last dat in Hong Kong by doing 2 outfit changes in 1 day and shooting it for the blog. Sometimes it’s annoying to travel with a blogger. Haha!

48

Random shot of a taxi…for Instagram purposes. lol

47

Went to The Ritz-Carlton Hotel for some afternoon tea!

39

Breathtaking view of Kowloon from the tallest building in Hong Kong. Wow…

41

I don’t ever want to leave this place.

37

Checked out the OZONE Sky Bar for a bit. It’s designed to look like a honeycomb. Pretty cool!

36

Yum.

38

Last look before I head back to Manila…

53

Off to the airport. Thank you Calvin Klein, SSI and Visions and Expressions for showing me an awesome time. It was an honor to be part of this global event!
